Summary
The ideal candidate maintains guest hallways, rooms, service landings, and storage areas with linen and supplies.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
Maintain service closets and room attendants ‘carts with linen and supplies.
Remove soiled items from vacant dirty rooms and room attendant carts.
Replace hangers and robes in guest rooms.
Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
Clean / vacuum / dust guest hallways.
Deep clean rooms.
Prepare VIP arrivals.
Turn in lost and found items.
Assist guest and members in a friendly and professional manner.
Maintain equipment and report problems or service needs to supervisors.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisors/ managers.
Supportive Functions
Keep work area net and clean.
Assist in other areas assigned by manager.
Move furniture when requested by manager.
Report safety concerns to manager.
Internal Relationships
Reports to Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Director of Housekeeping, Housekeeping Manager & Housekeeping Supervisor.
External Relationships
Has regular contact with Guests and other Housekeeping Associates.
Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly in English with guests and other associates as is necessary to effectively work within the department
Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift.
Education/Experience Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
6 months to 1 year cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial service preferred.
Physical Requirements
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
