Overview: The Adirondack Club is looking for a confident, reliable, people‑first leader to oversee our Friday evening and Saturday operations. This is a year‑round position that plays a key role in keeping the Club running smoothly during our busiest times. If you enjoy staying active, supporting a team, and being the calm, capable person others rely on, you’ll thrive here.
Why This Role Matters: As the Weekend Manger on Duty, you’re the point person who ensures the Club feels safe, welcoming, and well‑run. You support staff, assist members, and help maintain the high standards our community expects. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys leadership, problem‑solving, and being on their feet.
Schedule
Fridays: 4PM–8PM
Saturdays: Up to 8 hours
Optional additional weekday hours available based on interest and staffing needs.
This is a year‑round position with consistent weekly hours.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the Club during your shift, supporting staff, assisting members, and keeping operations running smoothly.
Open or close the facility and ensure all areas are clean, safe, and ready for use.
Be the go‑to person for questions, problem‑solving, and quick decision‑making.
Handle member concerns with professionalism and warmth.
Support staff communication, teamwork, and accountability.
Respond to unexpected situations with confidence and calm.
Provide tours, assist with onboarding new staff, and help maintain our high service standards.
Who Thrives in This Role:
You’re someone who:
Shows up consistently, on time, and ready to lead.
Stays calm under pressure and can handle busy weekends with confidence.
Enjoys helping people and creating a positive environment.
Has experience leading a team, coaching, supervising, or being the responsible point person.
Wants a role that’s active, social, and meaningful not just clock‑in/clock‑out work.
Great fit for:
Local college students or recent grads looking for year‑round part‑time leadership experience.
Teachers, coaches, or fitness‑minded adults wanting consistent weekend hours.
Anyone who loves being part of a community‑focused, wellness‑driven environment.
Requirements:
1–2 years of leadership or customer service experience
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Comfortable working independently and making decisions
Availability year‑round for Friday evenings and Saturdays
Perks:
Complimentary Club membership (5+ hours/week)
401k with company match
A fun, active work environment
Leadership experience that stands out on a résumé
Opportunities for additional hours and long‑term growth
