Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Action Center is leading an exciting and transformative initiative: the renovation and repurposing of a former Lakewood public school campus into The Daylight Collective, a collaborative community hub where multiple mission-aligned organizations can operate under one roof. The vision is simple but powerful—to design services around the needs of families, making it easier to access support, reducing barriers, and creating a more seamless experience for those seeking help.

The Action Center is hiring a Facilities Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the agency’s facilities, grounds, safety systems, and physical assets. This role leads a facilities team responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, tenants, and visitors. The Director oversees facility operations, capital planning, vendor management, compliance, and long-term maintenance strategies while aligning facilities management with the Agency’s broader organizational goals. This is a highly collaborative role, working with other leaders of the agency to operationalize the Daylight Collective’s vision.

  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
  • Manage regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify safety hazards and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain records related to permits, inspections, and compliance requirements.

  • Foster a culture of safety, responsiveness, accountability, and customer service within the facilities team.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development for team members to ensure high performance and compliance with safety standards.

Sustainability & Asset Management

  • Collaborate with Agency leadership to align facilities operations with organizational goals and growth plans.
