You will define and drive the platform-wide test automation strategy while building scalable, reusable frameworks across diverse technologies. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality into the development process and provide guidance to automation practitioners.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading test automation in complex system environments and possesses strong hands-on skills in Python and Robot Framework. You must be able to design reusable solutions that support multiple teams and demonstrate a deep understanding of modern CI/CD and software development practices.

As our Platform Test Automation Lead, you'll define the automation strategy, build scalable frameworks, and create reusable solutions that support multiple products and development teams.

What you'll do
As our Test Automation Lead, you'll shape how test automation is built and scaled across a platform that powers public transport and public safety solutions worldwide.
You will:
Own the platform-wide test automation strategy and drive its future direction.
Build scalable, reusable automation frameworks used across multiple products and projects.
Work with a diverse technology landscape, including embedded Linux devices, web applications, APIs, and real-time communication systems.
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product owners, and test engineers to embed quality into the development process.
Guide and support a community of automation practitioners across the organization.
Stay hands-on by designing, building, and improving automation solutions yourself.
What we’re looking for?
You understand what it takes to build automation that scales beyond a single product or team. Perhaps you've created frameworks, practices, or tools that others still rely on today.
We're looking for someone with:
Experience leading test automation in complex software, platform, or system environments.
Strong hands-on skills in Robot Framework and Python.
Experience with UI, API, and integration testing.
Knowledge of CI/CD and modern software development practices.
The ability to design reusable solutions that support multiple teams and products.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A passion for quality, continuous improvement, and solving complex challenges.
This role is based in Tampere and combines the flexibility of hybrid work with the value of face-to-face collaboration. Therefore, the position is not available as a fully remote role.
