Summary

  

The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of the company's marketing, branding, and communication initiatives. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining marketing content across digital and print platforms, managing website and social media updates, supporting internal and external communications, and ensuring consistent brand messaging throughout the organization. The position collaborates with departments across the company to develop promotional materials, coordinate marketing projects, and enhance employee engagement while contributing to the company's overall marketing and business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, development, and execution of marketing and communication campaigns that support company initiatives and business objectives.
  • Create, edit, and maintain content for emails, newsletters, websites, social media platforms, presentations, marketing collateral, and other communication materials.
  • Ensure consistent application of the company's brand identity, messaging, and visual standards across all internal and external communications. 
  • Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, promotional items, digital assets, and other collateral.
  • Manage and update website content, ensuring information remains accurate, relevant, and current. 
  • Schedule, publish, and monitor content across company social media platforms in accordance with the established content calendar. 
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns by creating, testing, scheduling, and distributing communications while maintaining distribution lists and tracking campaign performance. 
  • Proofread and edit marketing and communication materials for grammar, spelling, clarity, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company branding standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and develop marketing materials that support departmental goals and company initiatives. 
  • Coordinate projects with external vendors, printers, designers, photographers, and other service providers to ensure quality work is delivered on time and within budget. 
  • Organize and maintain digital marketing assets, including logos, photographs, templates, videos, and brand resources. 
  • Assist in developing presentations, proposals, promotional materials, and other communication tools for leadership, sales teams, recruiting, and company events.
  • Support internal communications by preparing employee announcements, newsletters, recognition programs, company updates, and other employee engagement materials. 
  • Assist with planning and coordinating company events, employee activities, trade shows, recruiting events, and community outreach initiatives as assigned. 
  • Maintain organized project files and marketing documentation in accordance with company procedures. 
  • Stay informed of current marketing trends, communication strategies, and emerging technologies to support continuous improvement. 
  • Meet established deadlines while effectively managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. 
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 
  • Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field preferred. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Exceptional proofreading, editing, and attention to detail. 
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and marketing best practices. 
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing, and email marketing strategies. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Experience with Canva required; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar) preferred. 
  • Familiarity with website content management systems, including WordPress, is preferred. 
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. 
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues, leadership, vendors, and external partners to achieve departmental and company goals. 
  • Proficiency in coordinating virtual meetings and presentations using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar collaboration platforms. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by remaining current on marketing trends, communication technologies, and industry best practices 

Salary

  • The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $48,750 - $58,550 annually.
  • The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
