About the Role
Sterlitech is seeking a detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to help build the foundation of our B2B social media presence.You will work closely with the Marketing team to conduct competitive research, document standard operating procedures (SOPs), build a content calendar, and develop LinkedIn content that supports the brand, products, industry expertise, and business goals.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, strategic thinking, and hands-on content creation, and who is excited to help launch a social media presence from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Research & Competitive Analysis
· Conduct a comprehensive SWOT analysis of current social media opportunities and competitive landscape.
· Research and analyze top competitors via websites, e-commerce, and LinkedIn.
· Evaluate competitor content strategies, posting frequency, audience engagement, messaging, promotions/discounts, and content formats.
· Summarize findings and present recommendations to Sterlitech leadership.
Social Media Strategy Development
· Assist in developing the social media strategy with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
· Help define target audiences, content pillars, messaging themes, and engagement opportunities.
· Recommend best practices for building brand awareness and thought leadership within technical and scientific industries.
Content Planning & Creation
· Develop a 3–6-month social media content calendar aligned with company goals, product launches, events, trade shows, and industry initiatives.
· Collaborate with internal departments to identify content opportunities and SMEs.
· Draft LinkedIn posts and supporting content reflect brand voice and technical expertise.
Learning Opportunities
In this role you will gain hands-on experience in:
· Developing a social media strategy from the ground up for a B2B company.
· Conduct competitive analysis and market research to support marketing decisions.
· Creating content calendars, LinkedIn content, and campaign planning materials.
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting recommendations to leadership.
Preferred (not required)
· Experience with Canva, Adobe Express, or similar content creation tools.
· Comfortable using social media scheduling platforms or willing to learn.
