The Grossing Technician is responsible for the accessioning, technical preparation, and grossing of pathology specimens while ensuring accurate documentation and workflow efficiency. They also assist pathologists with procedures, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least two years of college coursework with a science emphasis, with an associate degree preferred. Experience in cytology or histology and valid CPR certification are also required.

In this role, you will perform all necessary procedures pertaining to accessioning, technical preparation, grossing and dictation of all pathology Surgical & Cytology specimens. This individual must function with a high degree of technical expertise regarding handling of specimens to ensure accuracy of diagnoses made from specimens submitted for evaluation.
