The Scientist designs and executes advanced laboratory and computational research focused on genomics, gene editing, and hematologic disorders. Responsibilities include performing multi-omics analyses, developing therapeutic base-editing strategies, and mentoring junior researchers.
Requires a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's with 6 years, or a PhD with 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates should possess a combination of wet lab biology and computational biology expertise, specifically in CRISPR and genomic data analysis.
This position is part of the Marcin Wlodarki Lab at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which focuses on advancing our understanding of genetic and genomic drivers of hematologic disorders and cancer predisposition. The lab integrates translational research, functional genomics, and computational approaches to uncover disease mechanisms and improve patient outcomes. The lab PI directs the institution's clinical Bone Marrow Failure (BMF) Program and co-leads the https://www.stjude.org/research/progress/2023/shifting-the-paradigm-towards-individualized-gene-editing-therapies.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">PARADIGM gene editing program, creating a direct bridge between patient care and discovery science.
