The Position
South Plains Rural Health Services is seeking a full-time Clinic Nurse for our Big Spring, Texas clinic. This entry-level, onsite role supports providers and helps ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care in a community clinic setting.
Key responsibilities include providing direct patient care within scope, collecting and documenting vital signs and histories, assisting during exams/procedures, administering ordered medications/treatments as allowed, preparing/cleaning exam rooms, entering information in the EHR accurately, stocking supplies, and following infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas CNA, CMA, LVN, or RN certification/license
- Current CPR/BLS
- Clinical/healthcare experience preferred
- Clear communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

A Typical Shift
You’ll start by reviewing the day’s schedule and prepping rooms so the clinic runs smoothly from the first appointment. Throughout the morning, you’ll move between patient visits and quick resets, keeping documentation current as the pace changes. Midday often brings a mix of planned follow-ups and same-day needs, so you’ll stay organized and calm while coordinating with the care team. By late afternoon, you’ll help close out charts, check supplies for the next day, and leave on time—Friday wraps at noon.
