We are looking for a fit, strong General Laborer/Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of physical tasks. General laborers' responsibilities include performing onsite site duties, supporting field and administrative operations and maintaining and operating company vehicles. Because we have multiple locations, there may be some travel requirements.
To be successful in this role you must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks that require stamina and an eagerness to learn on the job. This includes but is not limited to assembly and building support tasks, basic office tasks, handling vehicle maintenance in support of the field crews and providing maintenance support for field operations. The ideal Candidate has the ability to understand instructions and carry them out efficiently within the given deadline. This person will also learn about energy efficiency & will receive Building Science Training to support our operational team. This role requires the ideal candidate to have an initiative-taking attitude, a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance for company vehicles. ? Perform routine checks and minor repairs on company vehicles. - Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance and repairs. - Use power tools. - Perform general maintenance tasks around the office and facilities. - Assist with troubleshooting and repair of office equipment. - Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance services. - Monitor and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. - Maintain a clean work environment. - Support building science and operational needs.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS - High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus. - Previous experience in construction, office support, vehicle maintenance, or field support roles preferred. - Basic knowledge of office equipment, vehicle maintenance, and general maintenance procedures. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills. - Excellent communication and people skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to field sites as needed. - Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform manual tasks
Working Conditions: - This role may involve physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects. - Work may be performed in both office and field environments. - Occasional travel to field sites may be required.
