The Funeral Director Apprentice assists families with funeral arrangements, final disposition, and memorialization under the guidance of a licensed director. Responsibilities include performing embalming, conducting funeral ceremonies, managing legal documentation, and providing compassionate support to grieving families.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and be enrolled in or have completed a mortuary science program as required by state law. A minimum of 6 months of experience in a funeral home or cemetery setting is required, along with appropriate state licensing and a valid driver's license.
