GENERAL SUMMARY

 

Responsible for support of enterprise applications and software. Analyzes business process issues and/or problems and provides assistance to system users; maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases.

Immediately report injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) Make regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous safety improvement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

  • Create ETL processes to manage, maintain, and integrate data from different systems.
  • Performs system tests and collaborates with programmers to resolve issues and errors.
  • Works with users to identify system requirements; develops processing procedures and systems modifications to meet these specifications.
  • Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs.
  • Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with applications and data.
  • Works with vendors to resolve requests or problems with applications.
  • Develop and maintain scripting and coding requirements.
  • Develop new ways to add more functionality to systems.
  • Assist with the selection and implementation of new applications.
  • As part of the Emergency Management team this position must be able to attend early morning, evening, or weekend meetings and report to work for response to emergencies on an around-the-clock basis, seven days a week (as needed).
  • The stress level for this position is moderate and the workload often requires this position to work non-traditional hours to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS

  • This position does not directly supervise any employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Qualified candidates that possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in Information Systems or Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and at least one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in general database design and query writing, systems implementation and integration, or web application development; or a combination of experience and education that results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is required. Programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, PHP, .NET, etc. and proficiency in the current Microsoft Office package may qualify for the IT System Analyst I position.
  • Qualified candidates that possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in Information Systems or Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and at least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in general database design and query writing, systems implementation and integration, or web application development; or a combination of experience and education that results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is required. Programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, PHP, .NET, etc. and proficiency in the current Microsoft Office package may qualify for the IT System Analyst II position.

      *If selected, level will be determined by Manager based on internal assessment of education and experience.

  • Windows and Linux server operating systems
  • Database concepts, logic structures and scripting, word processing, and spreadsheets.
