You will lead the design of self-service database products and manage their lifecycle while collaborating with product owners to meet strategic targets. Additionally, you will implement infrastructure as code solutions and provide operational support to enhance performance and security across the bank's platforms.
The role requires at least 10 years of experience in platform or infrastructure engineering, with a minimum of five years specifically in AWS products and services. Candidates must possess strong automation skills using Terraform and Python, along with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll take the lead on designing intuitive, self-service database products that make all the difference to our customers, as well as our strategic targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a highly innovative and supportive environment.
You’ll collaborate with product owners to create roadmaps and manage the lifecycle, taking customer feedback, new feature requests and production issues into consideration. As you continue to manage the selection, creation and maintenance of database-related technologies, you’ll ensure that our solutions comply with the bank’s requirements and responsibilities.
You’ll also:
To thrive in this role, you’ll have experience in software development or automation scripting, such as Python or Shell. You’ll be knowledgeable about the software development lifecycle, with experience of utilising modern infrastructure as code via tooling.
We’ll expect you to bring a good understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets, with the ability to create the vision for the Release Train, feature team, platform and domain.
