Receives and reviews all submitted hearing / trial requests, civil actions, motions, warrants, tickets, and other court documents for accuracy and completeness. Processes incoming mail and faxes. Schedules motions, hearings and/or jury trials; prepares daily court docket; notifies all interested parties of court dates and times. Prepares courtroom; checks defendants, plaintiffs, witnesses, victims, attorneys, and officers in for court. Retrieves paid charging documents for the courtroom. Establishes and maintains case files. Enters case records and information into computer record-keeping system; prepares computer[1]generated reports as necessary. Maintains accurate, up-to-date and complete court records; prepares and organizes files; shreds confidential or obsolete documents as necessary; releases records to authorized individuals in accordance with established guidelines. Assists the public in retrieving recorded information; researches department files, court/legal records, database records, electronic data sources, Internet sites and other sources for requested information as needed. Collects, receipts and records bonds, fines, fees and other payments; assists in scheduling time payments and prepares bank deposits. Issues SC Driver’s License compliance forms for DL reinstatement. May assist in the courtroom as required, performing such duties as swearing in witnesses, striking / swearing in jurors, calling cases, recording testimony and maintaining recordings, preparing court documents and recording results. May assist in preparing juror checks and lists
