About the Role

As an Assistant Team Manager at Quilter Business Services Limited, you will support the Team Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring team performance and productivity, and fostering a positive and efficient working environment. You will play a key role in developing team members and maintaining high standards of service delivery within our dynamic business services division.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage team in the absence of the Team Manager when applicable
• Assist the Team Managers with the allocation of day to day responsibilities
• Provide input to the Team Managers for the 121’s and annual reviews for relevant members of staff. Including conducting some 121 meetings.
• Support individual and team development needs by regularly observing performance and offering coaching, where appropriate
• Contribute to the development of the team strategy and objectives
• Assist with the development and monitoring of performance metrics/internal monthly scorecard for the team and with the Team Manager use these to drive and improve performance, costs and improve customer service
• Assisting team manager with recruitment
• Develop self by attending appropriate training/courses/seminars etc
• Handling escalations and dissatisfaction from Distribution and their advisers, to resolve issues, and minimize reputational risks.
• Build own Strong relationships with Distribution, and encourage and develop the team to be able to do the same.
• Working closely with Distribution supporting our Adviser community, whilst remaining focused on good customer outcomes.
• Help to embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
• Assist in Projects and future developments requiring Distribution input.

About You

• Previous manager /assistant manager experience preferred.
• Financial Services experience desirable but not essential.
• PC literate, in particular MS Office Products
• Knowledge of Quilter Key Products and systems would be desirable
• Excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven track record in customer service & relationship building
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
