Employment: Hourly (non-exempt), 1.0 FTE, full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., with extended hours until 7:15 p.m. on Thursdays to support our Community Nutrition Night.
Location: Quest SE Portland location and occasional Clackamas Location days. Remote work available upon manager discretion
Travel: Some local travel may be required to meet staffing needs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Front Desk/Receptionist, along with the other members of the Front Desk Team, are considered “The Face of Quest”, representing our clinic in a cheerful and professional manner. The primary job function for this position is to create an environment that allows Clients to feel welcomed, supported, and cared for, while supporting the staff at Quest through our administration and communication. We achieve this by being thorough and quick with our intake and scheduling processes, communicating clearly and kindly to all we encounter, and supporting our Behavioral Health and Medical Teams with daily tasks and processes. Every interaction is an opportunity to help create a positive, healing experience for our Clients and visitors. The perfect candidate will be someone who cares deeply about professional and respectful communication. Our Front Desk Team works in tandem all day, so we are looking for someone who can work effectively on a close-nit team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Act as clinic wide support Staff for all programs including: Medical, Mental Health, Recovery, WISH, HIV Services, FSR and Management Teams.
Provide excellent customer service in a professional setting
Communicate with other agencies on behalf of Quest Center Clients
Answer multi-line phones and direct calls to the appropriate location
Check Clients in for appointments
Schedule appointments both for in person appointments and virtual
Utilize the SOP system for supplement purchases and payments
Open and/or close the clinic
Make reminder calls
Prepare paperwork for the next day’s appointments, including legal documents and insurance forms
Process incoming/outgoing mail
Be a liaison for the clinic. Know the processes for the clinic, the services that are provided at the clinic and be able to answer general questions for prospective clients
Willing to participate in clinic provided training in compliance with Federal Privacy Laws (HIPAA), CFR 42 Part 2, Cybersecurity, and other trainings
Perform project-based assignments
Work alongside other Front Desk Team Members
Knowledge of intake process for all departments and helping to screen questions about insurance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1 + year of medical reception experience (medical reception experience preferred but not required)
Able to work with culturally-diverse clients and communities while being culturally sensitive and appropriate
Knowledge and belief in Quest Center’s mission
Public health or non-profit experience preferred
