Responsible for loading and unloading transport, bulk, and route trucks using forklifts and electronic pallet jacks. Ensures order accuracy and complies with all shipper/receiver documentation and safety protocols.
Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and 125 pounds with a team. Candidates must acquire forklift and pallet jack certifications, with a high school diploma preferred.
Position Overview
This labor-intensive position is responsible for loading transport, bulk, and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Works from order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct management or supervisory responsibilities.
Safety
Observe safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment); report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly. Follow job-specific safety requirements including Safe Product Handling, Safe Lift, Safe Forklift and Pallet Jack Operation.
Travel
No travel is required.

The expectation is that the individual has achieved a minimum level of education and/or related expertise to qualify for this position.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Evening and weekend work may be required to have outgoing trucks loaded and ready for drivers.
