The intern will support the investment team by conducting industry research, screening deal flow, and performing due diligence. A primary focus is proactively sourcing and vetting prospective B2B SaaS, AI, and health-tech investment opportunities by engaging directly with founders.
Candidates should be pursuing an undergraduate degree in business or STEM with a strong interest in technology and entrepreneurship. Required skills include financial modeling proficiency, confidence in cold outreach, and a self-starting attitude.
Pender Ventures is seeking a Venture Capital Intern to join us in September 2026. This role will be based in Vancouver. The intern will assist the investment team with industry research, deal flow screening, special projects and general research support.
A core part of this role is proactively identifying, reaching out to and speaking directly with founders and management teams to source and vet prospective investment opportunities. The successful candidate will be comfortable initiating conversations with companies, asking sharp questions, and forming an independent view on quality and fit.
