Description

Schedule: 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Rotating, including weekends and holidays

Make a Difference Every Day

At Parc Center for Disabilities, our mission is to provide life-changing services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our vision is a community where every individual lives with dignity and is treated with respect.

We are seeking a Shift Supervisor who is passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and committed to creating a safe, respectful, and caring environment for our residents. This role provides leadership and guidance to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) while ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support each day.

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor oversees DSPs assigned to their floor during each shift, ensuring consistent supervision, quality care, and support for residents in alignment with their Active Treatment Plans. This position assigns daily responsibilities, monitors documentation, supports staff development, and serves as a role model for compassionate and respectful care.

When not serving as the designated shift supervisor, this role actively supports residents as a Direct Support Professional by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring residents’ needs are met with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care and support to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, repositioning, dining, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Supervise, coach, and support DSPs to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate resident care.
  • Assign staff responsibilities, manage resident schedules, coordinate appointments, and support daily operations.
  • Monitor completion and accuracy of required documentation, including incident reports, ADL records, behavior data, accountability logs, and other required records.
  • Identify and report changes in residents’ physical, behavioral, or medical needs to appropriate team members.
  • Ensure compliance with Parc policies, procedures, and applicable ICF/DD regulations.
  • Provide training, coaching, and feedback to DSP team members.
  • Support resident outings, transportation coordination, appointments, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of resident supplies, adaptive equipment, medical items, and household needs.
  • Promote positive communication and teamwork with employees, families, guardians, and other members of the care team.
  • Participate in required trainings, emergency procedures, and facility drills.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced residential environment.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve processes.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related human services field.
  • Previous supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to successfully complete a Level II background screening and pre-employment drug screening.

Why Join Parc?

At Parc Center for Disabilities, you are more than an employee — you are part of a team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.

Our benefits include:

  • 10 Paid Holidays
  • 18 PTO Days and 2 Personal Days
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision      Insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Voluntary Benefits including Short-Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, and Life Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
