The Paint Prep I is responsible for preparing parts for painting through wiping, sanding, masking, and removing debris. The role also involves using overhead hoists to hang parts and inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Candidates must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, and maintain reliable on-site attendance. Certifications in forklift, tugger, tractor, or telescopic material handling are considered standout qualifications.
The Paint Prep I is responsible for preparing parts for the painting process by wiping, sanding, inspecting, plugging, and masking components. This role also includes removing excess water and debris from parts, hanging them using overhead hoists, and ensuring all parts meet quality and production standards. Additional duties may involve operating material handling equipment and maintaining inventory where applicable.
