The Financial Analyst will manage statutory reporting, tax computations, and capital planning while ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. They will also coordinate external audits, regulatory reviews, and liaise with rating agencies to support the bank's financial operations.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with 4-5 years of relevant experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reconciliation skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are essential.
- Ensure that all statutory renditions (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) applicable to the Finance unit are rendered as and when due.
- Assist with monthly tax computations (current and deferred tax calculations and reconciliations); liaise with Tax Consultants on tax-related matters such as tax planning, tax compliance, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, indirect taxes, PAYE, and so on.
- Provide support for the preparation and review of the accounting policies of the bank in line with existing IFRSs and updating them in line with the release of new IFRS standards.
- Managing the capital management planning and forecasting for the bank with the aim of optimization of the capital structure and ensuring an appropriate mix of tier I and II capital while monitoring capital adequacy levels alongside the team lead of Financial Reporting.
- Support in liaising with rating agencies and coordinating the annual rating exercise for the bank
