Manage the end-to-end claims process, including registration, appointing service providers, and authorizing or rejecting claims. Handle policy amendments, annual reviews, and maintain professional communication with clients and stakeholders.
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in short-term claims and underwriting, along with RE 5 certification and NQL4/5 qualifications. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience working in a high-volume call center environment.
We are looking for an experienced Claims and Underwriting Administrator to join our Insurance team. This role will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town.
§ Strong analytical ability to register claim from start to finish
§ Appoint Service Providers/Loss Adjustors/Assessors/Structural Engineers
§ Authorise or reject a claims within mandate
§ Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, administrators, and stake holders
§ High attention to accuracy and detail
§ Policy amendments, changes, fulfilment and annual reviews
§ Matric/Grade 12
§ RE 5 certification
§ NQL4 or NQL5 (Short term insurance)
§ Minimum 5 years’ experience in short term claims and underwriting
§ Experience in high call centre environment – Inbound and outbound
§ Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel
§ Short Term Claims - Essential
§ Underwriting exposure
§ Ability to work both independently and within a team
§ Meeting daily and month deadlines consistently
§ Positive attitude and professional execution
§ Strong time management and KPI achievement
§ Effective telephone techniques and great listening skills
