We are currently expanding our team and looking for talented, multi-specialty sonographers to join us.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a qualified professional that is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a vital role by performing diagnostic ultrasounds. Your duties include performing routine pelvic and transvaginal scans for GYN/OB patients as well as possible multi-specialty services such as vascular and small parts studies, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
- Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if clinically appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Selects appropriate imaging parameters.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Strong communication skills required, ability to communicate effectively with ordering physicians, other medical professionals, and administrative staff.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.
- Florida driver’s license
- Personal automobile
- Fluent in speaking English (Spanish preferred)
- Active ARDMS, CPR, OSHA certification - (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, CCI)
- 1 Year OB/GYN experience (Required)
- Vascular and General / Abdomen experience (Preferred)
- Echocardiogram experience (Preferred)
- Small Parts (Breast/Thyroid/Scrotum) Experience - (Preferred)
- CPR/BLS Certification (REQUIRED)

Additional Job Information:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Work Experience: Prior work is experience required.
Other Information: Must be registered in ARDMS (OBGYN,AB, RVT, BR, or PS).
Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or possess a foreign diploma recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Minimal travel between accounts will be required, expecting all travel to be conducted in a timely manner ensuring punctuality.
