The candidate will join the Valuation team of our Luxembourg-based AIFM and support the valuation activities related to illiquid assets. The role will involve assisting with valuation reviews across various investment strategies, including private equity, real estate, private debt, infrastructure, and fund of funds.
The Valuation Analyst will contribute to the ongoing valuation process, including the review and update of valuation policies and procedures, preparation of valuation materials, and support to the Valuation Committee. The candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to help ensure a consistent and well-documented valuation framework.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in valuation, financial analysis, audit, fund administration, investment management, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of valuation methodologies and financial modelling techniques (e.g., discounted cash flow, market multiples, and other fair value approaches).
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation skills, and ability to maintain high-quality documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Support the valuation review of private market investments, including private equity, real estate, private debt, infrastructure, and fund investments.
- Assist with the review and maintenance of valuation models by analysing assumptions, inputs, calculations, and supporting documentation.
- Work with the Luxembourg valuation team, Investment Managers, fund administrators, and other stakeholders to collect information and support valuation processes.
- Prepare valuation analyses, reports, and documentation for internal review and approval, including supporting updates to the AIFM Board valuation reports.
- Perform market research and financial analysis to support valuation assessments.
