The Healthcare Assistant will support registered nurses and consultants in delivering exceptional patient care before and after surgery. They are also responsible for carrying out administrative duties and ensuring the needs of individual patients are met.
Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and possess relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting. Strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and a professional telephone manner are also required.

As a Healthcare Assistant on the ward at our hospital, you’ll show us you’re able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and hold relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

Our newly opened day ward comprises of minor procedures such as-
Cataract surgery
Endoscopy
Minor local anaesthetic procedures
Pain clinics.
Varicose vein surgery.
It is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and occasional Saturdays. You will be expected to cover a variety of shift patterns across these hours to meet the needs of the ward.
