About the Role The Senior Ministerial Liaison Officer provides crucial support to ministerial operations by ensuring the smooth flow of information and advice. The role prepares high-quality reports, briefings, and responses to ministerial requests, often on sensitive and complex issues. Additionally, it will contribute directly to effective governance by supporting informed decision-making at the ministerial level.
The role will also be available to provide support to ministerial offices on a rotational basis as a Department Liaison Officer, in addition to relief functions for Department Liaison Officers where required.
About You Our ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of government operations and procedures related to ministerial correspondence, briefings and parliamentary materials. Strong research and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must, as is a proactive approach to identifying emerging issues and ensuring timely responses.
