The role is responsible for designing operational solutions for managing large data sets across various cloud and non-cloud technologies. It involves extracting, transforming, and cleaning data from multiple sources to improve process quality and efficiency.
Candidates must have at least 6 years of experience in Big Data technologies with mandatory expertise in Databricks and Python. An engineering degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
This role is accountable to be able to understand various data sources e.g. Retailer, eCommerce, Activate and Vendor and link with internal NielsenIQ platform. This role requires to provide solutions to improve process quality, understand emerging technologies, standards and best practices in cross platform development. It also requires to demonstrate mastery in applying concepts, and methodologies to innovative solutions.
- Work closely with Architectures/Technology, Platform Leader and Clients on designing standard Operational solution for various cloud/non-cloud technologies on ways of managing data
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and frameworks to maximize efficiency
- Handle large data sets with exposure to multiple formats and Tlog/non-Tlog data.
- Ability to extract, transform, load, and clean large data sets from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with managing, querying, and aggregating large data sets.
- Execute tasks on Ingestion platform
- Utilize SQL and Python for data processing
- Process data in the Ingestion engine
- Manage small to medium transformation projects independently
