Purpose of the Role:
We have a great opportunity for a student currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year studies in a post-secondary program. This opportunity will provide you the chance to gain valuable work experience to bring your formal learning to life as well as be a member of a collaborative and client-focused team.

The Nicola Wealth Private Giving Foundation (PGF) is a charitable, Public Foundation allowing donors to enjoy administrative convenience, cost savings, and tax advantages by making their charitable donations and grants through a Donor Advised Fund.
As a Philanthropy Co-op you will provide administrative support to the Philanthropy team. This role will primarily support the PGF team in administering day-to-day operations including charity contact, opening new PGF accounts, processing donation and grant transactions, while supporting the goal of providing our clients with a seamless donor experience. This role requires exceptional communication and problem-solving skills in order to provide a high level of administrative service to our high-net worth clients.
This position is an 8-month co-op term starting in September 2026 and ending May 2027. The location will be a hybrid of work from home and an in-office environment at our Vancouver office.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage administrative documents for new accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and manage administrative documents for existing accounts, as updates or changes are required.
- Facilitate donations, including in-kind gift transfers, database management, and issuing tax receipts
- Communication with clients and internal stakeholders as required
- Communication with charities and community partners
- Support with disbursements as required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of studies in a post-secondary degree or diploma.
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistent, highly accurate work.
- Strong client service / client relations skills and prior experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office including MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience within the Charitable sector is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and think critically to seek out information and solutions independently.
- Experience working independently, as well as in partnership with other team members.
- The ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring strong organization, time management and prioritization skills with the confidence to adapt to change as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits Package:
This position comes with a competitive base salary hiring range of $26/hr dependent on experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity.
