Build and manage influential relationships with OEMs and industry bodies to position the company as a primary partner for new technology. Develop strategic account plans to secure product approvals and influence industry lubricant specifications.
Requires a BS degree in science, business, engineering, or a related field. Candidates must have significant experience in the petrochemical or OEM industry, along with sales and marketing expertise and fluency in German and English.
Build influential relationships with targeted OEMs, Industry bodies and Test Houses in support of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) strategy. Position Afton as the first port of call for advice, consultation and partnership opportunities regarding new technology &
Industry developments, enabling Afton to extract demonstrable commercial value from these relationships (e.g. factory fill positions, service fill approvals).
This role is office based and will require regular travel.
Role requires fluent German and English speaker.
Develop an insightful OEM strategy that will involve a Strategic Account Plan for targeted OEMs.
Be highly effective at representing Afton’s interests with industry bodies and targeted OEM’s by taking steps to establish Afton as industry leaders and influencing industry practice and OEM lubricant specifications.
Cultivate trusted relationships with a wide range of potential influencers & decision makers from different management levels within target OEM’s to deliver preferential product approvals where possible.
Participate actively in industry societies as directed to advance or maintain a position that is financially and/or technically favorable to Afton's technology.
Use industry and OEM knowledge to provide relevant OEM/industry technical intelligence & insight to product steering groups and business teams.
Influence OEMs as directed in developing strategic goals that are compatible with current Afton products, services and future capabilities.
Influence the internal Afton team to accept business case & technical proposals for new OEM development projects aligned with Strategic direction
BS degree in science, business, engineering or related field
Demonstrated understanding of OEM Relationship functions typically acquired through significant years of relevant experience in the petrochemical or OEM industry and Sales & Marketing experience
