Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Recruiting Associate. As a Recruiter, you will identify, recruit, and screen potential employees for specific positions for the organization as well as assist the Human Resources department.

Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage a high volume of requisitions for CDL A/B drivers, warehouse associates, and material handlers from sourcing through hire.
Driver Compliance: Maintain full DOT compliance by conducting MVR checks, verifying DOT physicals, and screening candidates for large-vehicle operation experience.
Candidate Management: Evaluate applicants to identify qualified candidates, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, and follow up post-interview to collect feedback and determine next steps. Monitor market trends, including compensation benchmarks, candidate availability, and industry demand.
ATS Administration: Ensure accuracy and integrity of data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and generate reports on time-to-fill and other recruiting metrics.
Onboarding: Facilitate new hire orientations, including preparing and presenting onboarding materials.
Administrative Support: Answer and direct departmental calls while managing schedules and appointments.
Additional Duties: Perform other Human Resources-related responsibilities as assigned.
QualificationsExperience and Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree
Four (4) or more years of relevant experience in a similar role
Proven ability to recruit and close candidates in a competitive, high-volume environment
Strong skills with the ability to effectively market employment opportunities and influence candidates throughout the hiring process.
Results-driven and persistent, with a demonstrated ability to overcome objections and successfully secure top talent.
Confident communicator who can build relationships, create urgency, and "sell" career opportunities while providing an exceptional candidate experience.
Highly motivated, resilient, and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding recruiting and hiring targets.
Experience in high-volume recruiting, ideally within logistics, food service, or warehousing environments preferred
Solid understanding of DOT regulations and driver safety standards a plus
Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
