Join a Team That Helps Protect and Power Alternative Investing

At New Direction Trust Company (NDTCO), we help investors build wealth through self-directed retirement accounts and alternative investments. We're looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and service-focused Trust Compliance Specialist to join our growing team.

In this role, you'll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of trust account information while supporting regulatory compliance and exceptional client service. You'll collaborate across departments, conduct research, solve complex account questions, and play a key role in maintaining trust operations that impact both our clients and our business.

If you enjoy investigative work, problem-solving, working with data, and making sure the details are right, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

Trust Operations & Compliance

  • Review and process asset value, share amount, and asset location updates.
  • Review, compile, and retrieve trust documentation for compliance reviews, regulatory requirements, internal audits, and client requests.
  • Process daily approval tasks to ensure proper documentation, compliance standards, and system accuracy.
  • Process account closure requests and other trust maintenance activities.
  • Maintain organization and tracking of documents stored within company vault systems.

Research & Problem Solving

  • Conduct detailed research on assets, account activity, and trust documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies while identifying necessary account updates.
  • Analyze reports and trust data to support operational accuracy and compliance initiatives.

Client & Team Support

  • Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders via phone, video conference, and written correspondence.
  • Respond to inquiries efficiently and provide thoughtful solutions to complex questions.
  • Partner with team members across departments to complete trust-related work accurately and on time.

Data Integrity & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records, tickets, and notes within the CRM system.
  • Ensure account information remains current, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Support ongoing efforts to improve processes, documentation, and data quality.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with CRM systems or business management platforms.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn, grow, and contribute to team success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General knowledge of financial services, investing, trust operations, or banking.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, trust administration, compliance, operations, or a related field.

Education

Minimum Requirement

  • High school diploma or GED.

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivering high-quality, accurate work with strong attention to detail.
  • Completing research and account updates thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate records and trust data.
  • Providing exceptional support to clients and internal partners.
  • Contributing to the overall accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of trust operations.

Growth & Development Opportunities

This role offers opportunities for growth within NDTCO’s client support and operations teams. With strong performance and demonstrated skill development, Trust Compliance Specialists may advance into senior support roles, quality assurance, training, or other specialized client service and operational positions.

Benefits

(Full-time employees only; waiting period may apply)

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Optional HSA with employer contributions of $90/month
  • PTO plus paid major holidays
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match up to 3%
  • Optional short- and long-term disability insurance

Why Join NDTCO?

  • Hybrid work environment offering flexibility and collaboration.
  • Competitive pay: $24–$27 per hour.
  • Opportunity to build expertise in trust operations, compliance, and alternative investments.
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture.
