Clinical Application Specialist – OB (APAC)
Position Summary
The Clinical Application Specialist (OB) is responsible for driving clinical application excellence and professional education activities across the Asia Pacific region. This role serves as a key clinical expert in Obstetric and Gynecologic Ultrasound imaging, supporting product promotion, customer engagement, clinical education, and product optimization to strengthen market competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Clinical Training & Education
Develop and deliver professional application trainings on OB/GYN ultrasound knowladge clinical specialists, distributors, and end users across APAC.
Design and continuously improve training materials, educational programs, and clinical application workflows.
Conduct product application workshops, webinars, hands-on training sessions, and customer education programs.
2. Clinical Support & Business Development
Provide comprehensive clinical and application support throughout the sales cycle, including customer visits, product demonstrations, evaluations, and tender support
Support regional strategic projects and key opinion leader (KOL) engagement activities.
3. Market & Conference Support
Represent the company at regional and international congresses, workshops, customer meetings, and trade shows.
Deliver high-quality live scanning demonstrations and clinical presentations for OB/GYN ultrasound applications.
Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, reference sites, and leading clinical institutions across APAC.
4. Clinical Insights & Product Feedback
Collect, analyze, and monitor clinical application trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities within the OB/GYN ultrasound field.
Gather user feedback and translate clinical needs into actionable product enhancement recommendations.
Work closely with Product Management and R&D teams to support product development, validation, and localization activities.
5. Regional Clinical Excellence
Establish and promote best clinical practices for OB/GYN ultrasound imaging across APAC countries.
Support new product launches and ensure clinical readiness within the region.
Serve as the regional subject matter expert for OB-related ultrasound applications.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in Medical Imaging, Clinical Medicine, Ultrasound Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, or related healthcare disciplines.
Master's degree is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of clinical application experience in diagnostic ultrasound, with a strong focus on Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) imaging.
Hands-on experience in fetal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, women's healthcare, or ultrasound clinical practice is highly preferred.
Experience with premium ultrasound systems, including advanced OB technologies such as:
Fetal Echocardiography
3D/4D Imaging
STIC
Advanced Fetal Biometry
Pelvic Floor Imaging
Gynecologic Ultrasound Applications
Experience supporting multinational markets or regional business operations is preferred.
Technical & Clinical Competencies
Strong knowledge of OB/GYN ultrasound scanning protocols, clinical workflows, and industry guidelines.
Ability to perform advanced clinical demonstrations and deliver professional presentations to customers and KOLs.
Solid understanding of ultrasound technology and image optimization techniques.
Strong analytical skills to identify clinical needs and drive product improvement initiatives.
Language & Communication
Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory.
Ability to deliver professional presentations and training sessions in English.
Additional APAC language capabilities are considered an advantage.
