The Production Manager coordinates with technical directors and designers to ensure show elements are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include creating production schedules, managing budgets, and overseeing the recruitment and supervision of technical crew and volunteers.
Candidates must possess strong project management and communication skills along with knowledge of technical production and scenic carpentry. The ability to meet strict deadlines and remain calm under pressure is essential.

Role Type: Stipend Based Contract | 1099
Term Length: One Season with the possibility of renewal
Time Commitment: Approximately 10–18 hours/month (depends upon show schedule)
Reports To: Board of Directors
Meeting Cadence: Monthly Board meeting + Monthly meeting with President, and Vice President + Production Meetings as scheduled.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Production Manager works with the Technical Director, Show Director, technical crew and designers to make sure the technical elements of a show are completed safely, onetime and on budget. The Production Manager works on a variety of different shows during MET’s theatre season.
Create and maintain a production schedule for each show.
Organize and run production meetings for cast and production personnel during the production cycle of each show.
Work closely with Directors and designers to make decisions regarding set, costume, lighting, and other aspects of a production, and ensure these are within the budget of the production.
Ensure that decisions be made regarding the set of production are carried out safely.
Prepare production budget and monitor expenses.
Organize load in and strike.
Recruit and oversee carpenters, painters, volunteers and other production personnel to build sets according to design specifications.

Skills with basic construction methods and tools.
This is a stipend-paid position with flexible scheduling based on production timelines. Expected time commitment varies by production cycle; evening and weekend availability required during rehearsals and performances.
