Deliver high-quality night-time care and support to end-of-life patients in the community, focusing on dignity and comfort. Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, managing hygiene and nutrition, and escalating patient condition changes to the multidisciplinary team.
Requires an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or 6 months of current care experience in a health or social care environment. Candidates must possess a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they’re likely to die from.
The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
Join our expanding Marie Curie night service in Cornwall and be part of a team that’s making a real difference - our growth means we can reach and care for even more end-of-life patients across the county, providing comfort and dignity when it matters most. These roles are perfect for compassionate individuals who thrive working independently through the night, delivering high-quality care and support to patients and their loved ones during life’s most challenging moments.
Role: End of Life Care Healthcare Assistant (Band 2)
Hours: 22:00pm - 07:00am night shift
Contract: Part-Time Permanent (18, 27 or 36-hour contracts available)
Salary: Band 2 £25,272 pro rata per annum (aligned with AFC) + enhancements and Marie Curie employee benefits package
Locations: Central, North, East and West Cornwall (You will work within a 25-mile radius from your home address)
As these are community-based roles, you will be responsible for planning your own work, responding to changes in patient conditions, prioritising care needs (including hygiene, nutrition and hydration, comfort, monitoring vitals, and more) as detailed in the personalised care plan and ensuring you escalate appropriately to senior staff within the multidisciplinary team in a timely manner.
