The specialist is responsible for preparing and processing hazardous materials shipments in strict compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations. This includes classifying, labeling, and documenting shipments while coordinating with carriers and conducting regulatory audits.
Candidates need experience in hazardous materials shipping or logistics and working knowledge of federal and international shipping codes. IATA Dangerous Goods or DOT Hazmat certifications are preferred along with proficiency in shipping software.
