Provide therapeutic support to children and young people aged 12 to 17 who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. Assist with daily living activities and provide specialized care for those with disabilities or complex medical needs.
Applicants must hold or be completing a Diploma in Community Services or a related field and possess a current First Aid certificate and driver's license. Experience supporting children, young people, or individuals with disabilities is required, along with the ability to work a 24/7 roster.

Role: Therapeutic Youth Worker
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time & Casual
Location: Newcastle
As a Therapeutic Youth Worker you’ll be a key support for children & young people aged 12 to 17 years who’ve experienced childhood trauma, abuse, or neglect. Some of the children and young people we care for may also have a disability or complex medical needs requiring specialised support, including personal care.
Our residential homes operate 24/7, therefore it is essential that successful applicants are able and willing to work a roster which regularly includes afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts. We will not be able to consider applicants who cannot fulfil this requirement.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
