For our state-of-the art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a Parts Room Attendance (night shift).
This position pays $23.65 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay.
Summary Description:
The Parts Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control records; performing staging of items for maintenance and production personnel; and maintaining 5S standards. Duties may vary by shift to include: receiving of incoming orders; shipping of equipment for repairs; and data entry.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Duties (Accountability Categories and Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities):
NOTE: The job may include other “non-essential” responsibilities and duties that are not listed on this form.
Track inventory accurately including data entry, inventory counts, and incoming/outgoing parts records. Material receipt data entry and storage and work order staging.
Ship parts for repair and track status of repairs.
Pick-up parts from vendors by driving company truck.
Communicate effectively with co-workers, team leads, and supervisors.
Move parts by operating forklift.
Follow company’s good manufacturing and safety policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping in area, implement and maintain 5S standards.
Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Must be 18 years of age
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language
Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions
Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs
Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions
Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices
Ability to maintain a clean work area according to good manufacturing processes; and have good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts
Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
Basic knowledge of utility equipment, process equipment, and general parts information; prior parts inventory experience; proficient skills in data entry, email, internet, Microsoft Office software, and computerized maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP) and Maximo.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Forklift ceritifcation is preferred
A two year degree in a maintenance related field or equivalent industrial maintenance experience
Dairy/food manufacturing experience
Knowledge of government and industrial regulations (e.g. OSHA and USDA)

Work Environment Description:
Parts Room Attendant must have ability to: unload freight up to 50 Lbs; transfer tools weighing up to 40 Lbs; distribute, stock, and transport motors, pumps and other parts; and perform computer work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safe work practices. Parts Room Attendant will also participate in and implement continuous improvement. Parts Room Attendant must be able to work overtime and holidays when required.
Additional:
This position requires the incumbent to work on site at the facility to be able to perform the associated job responsibilities.
