Manage bankruptcy matters from inception to resolution, focusing on Chapter 7 and student loan adversary proceedings. Responsibilities include drafting court filings, representing clients in hearings, and developing case strategies.
Requires a Juris Doctor degree and active membership in the State Bar of California with admission to U.S. Bankruptcy and District Courts. Candidates should have 3-5 years of bankruptcy and insolvency experience.

Work Arrangement: In-Office Only (No Remote or Hybrid Work)
The Bankruptcy Attorney will be responsible for managing bankruptcy matters (mostly Chapter 7, with potential for some Chapter 13 matters in longer term) from inception through resolution, including client counseling, case strategy, motion practice, and court appearances. This Attorney will also be asked to represent claimants in adversary proceedings to discharge student loan debt. Appropriate training and mentorship will be provided. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
