The Child Advocacy Specialist works with a multi-disciplinary team and attorneys to advocate for children experiencing abuse and neglect. Responsibilities include developing court recommendations, interviewing clients in their living environments, and negotiating for necessary resources.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and at least three years of human services experience. Knowledge of child development and child welfare issues is required, with an advanced degree preferred.

KidsVoice vigilantly guides each child through the court process and ensures that every agency involved meets the full range of the child's needs.
We currently have a full-time Child Advocacy Specialist position available. The CAS works on a regional multi-disciplinary team with attorneys to advocate for children of abuse and neglect. The schedule for this job is Monday through Friday, some evening work required, with the CAS coordinating their own schedule.

All employees will be asked to complete the clearances required by the Child Protective Services Law including the Pennsylvania State criminal check, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse clearance and a National Sex Offender Registry Verification.

KidsVoice is recognized as a national model for multidisciplinary child advocacy. Each child we represent works with an attorney and a social service professional who customize their advocacy and support to the unique and specific needs of the child. Our holistic approach to advocacy goes beyond the courtroom. We help clients get the health, educational, and social services they need. We continue to work with clients through age 24—several years after they have aged out of the foster care system—to help them remove roadblocks to housing, health, and employment, so they can live independently as adults.
