Perform calibration and certification of electronic measuring and test equipment ensuring traceability to NIST. Maintain equipment performance standards and record all maintenance activities in the CMS.
Requires a high school diploma with 3+ years of experience or an associate degree in engineering technology with 3 years of experience. Must be a US citizen with proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of electronic measurement tools.
KBR Metrology supports Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advance Motion, and their suppliers with services including onsite/offsite laboratory visits, test equipment calibration and repair, AMS2750 pyrometry services, metrology engineering, and equipment inspection. They also offer preventative maintenance, equipment sourcing, CMM inspections, automation and programming, measurement technical support, calibration recall system management, and performance tracking dashboards.
Metrology Technician II will provide day to day support for the Metrology Program Calibrating IMTE and guiding workflow with other technicians. Technician will be able to coordinate calibrations in house and out to vendors.
Perform calibration and certification of electronic measuring and test equipment according to technical specifications, ensuring traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Calibrate and repair equipment such as Multimeters, frequency counter, timers, oscilloscopes, pressure devices.
Calibrate standards used in calibrations and maintain equipment to established performance standards.
Record maintenance activities in CMS, generate reports on results of tests, conditions of equipment and/or systems, repairs, and preventive maintenance performed, and prepare necessary documentation as required by customer and regulatory requirements.
Utilize common laboratory measuring, calibrating, and test equipment.
Complete all other duties as assigned.

High school diploma with 3+ years of experience in the field, OR associate’s degree in engineering technology or a relevant field with 3 years of experience.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, time and frequency, signal conditioning, blueprint and drawings, dimensional tooling and hand tools, pressure controllers, pressure dead weight testers, force gages and load cells, etc.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
US citizenship is required for this role
IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal experience a plus+.
Proficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel
PMEL, TMDE or calibration school a plus+
