Description

TITLE: Warehouse Associate

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager

HOURS: 6:30 am to 3 pm Monday through Saturday

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for effectively and efficiently carrying out all the tasks and duties of a Warehouse Associate as well as assisting the Warehouse Leads/Supervisor/Manager with their responsibilities when they are out. More importantly they are responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of the warehouse operations; training new warehouse personnel in their daily functions and procedures; assist when and where necessary throughout the warehouse to ensure product gets to where necessary in an efficient and timely manner. The Warehouse Associate may assist other warehouse personnel in their daily activities and must perform all other duties as assigned on an as needed basis. The Warehouse Associate reports to the Warehouse Leads, Supervisor and/or Manager and checks in with the Warehouse Leads/Supervisor/Manager at the beginning and end of every shift.

REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations of the warehouse.
  • Ensure all orders are ready one hour prior to the route departure time.
  • Report to a supervisor or Quality Assurance of any product quality issues.
  • Ensures that all material handling equipment used is in good working order.
  • Assist with receiving to ensure all products are received correctly and are stored quickly and correctly following food safety protocols.
  • As directed - performs daily end of shift inspections for cleanliness and to ensure that product storage guidelines are being followed.
  • As directed - assists with daily inventories as needed.
  • As directed - assists as needed to ensure cleaning schedules are completed.
  • Help locate product in inventory as needed.
  • Fill in various warehouse positions when staffing is short.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

  • Perform duties of the Lead during the Day when other managers are on vacation.
  • Special projects as assigned.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • One to three years of progressively responsible, related experience in a warehouse position of comparable scope and size to the Company.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Able to transfer attention from one task to another frequently without affecting performance.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have great attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Able to speak Spanish a plus, but not required.
