The Actuarial Associate will support quarterly LICAT regulatory capital reporting and conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess financial impacts. They will also contribute to the development of actuarial models for segregated fund products and assist in preparing management reports.
Candidates must have a university degree in a quantitative field and at least 3 years of relevant life insurance industry experience. An ASA or CIA designation and knowledge of IFRS 17 and LICAT frameworks are required.

This position is for an existing vacancy.
The Actuarial Associate, Capital will be responsible for conducting a wide range of actuarial tasks within ivari’s Corporate Actuarial Department. This includes supporting LICAT reporting, FCT (financial condition testing), actuarial inputs to risk sensitivities, regulatory capital initiatives, capital management, actuarial valuation of liabilities, analysis of drivers of earnings, experience studies, business forecasts, and sensitivity / shock testing.
