The DOT Coordinator provides guidance on FMCSA regulations, conducts audits, and develops policies to ensure client compliance. They are responsible for assessing client needs, managing permitting requirements, and delivering training to support safe and efficient transportation operations.
Candidates must have six years of experience in DOT administration and a strong understanding of FMCSA regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel 20-30% of the time to client locations are required.
IRONWOOD is growing, and we are looking for that next great addition to join our team! IRONWOOD has an immediate need for a full-time DOT Coordinator in the Midland, Odessa or Dallas, Texas area. This is a remote position. Candidates must reside within reasonable travel distance of either the Dallas–Fort Worth or Midland–Odessa region to support onsite client needs. This position provides DOT/FMCSA guidance on moderate to complex regulatory issues virtually and through on-site visits. The DOT Coordinator will provide on-site and off-site auditing, training, and policy development for employers across the country but primarily in West Texas. The Coordinator will provide insight on issues such as FMCSA regulations and best practices and be responsible for assessing and prioritizing clients’ needs to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely resolution of issues and policy interpretation questions.

SALARY: $40,000-$60,000

Summary:
The Department of Transportation (DOT) Coordinator has a dynamic role focused on assisting in the development and implementation of DOT strategies for IRONWOOD Business Consulting (IRONWOOD). This position provides advice and counsel to DOT professionals and managers on moderate to complex issues via remote and onsite consultation. The DOT Coordinator will provide counseling on issues such as Federal and State Department of Transportation regulations, inspections, and compliance. The DOT Coordinator will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing issues to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely resolution of DOT issues, permitting requirements, FMCSA guidance, fleet safety, investigations, and policy interpretation questions. This position plays a key role in coordinating DOT projects, ensuring consistency across various channels, and supporting the DOT team in executing effective DOT initiatives.
