The Health Counselor is responsible for implementing MHPSS activities in IDP camps and targeted villages, including providing counseling and psychosocial support. They also facilitate capacity building for volunteers and coordinate with health stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Nursing, or a related field and possess 2-3 years of experience in patient counseling. Strong communication skills, the ability to work in remote humanitarian settings, and proficiency in English are required.

Scope of work: This position is specifically assigned for MHPSS services in Northern Shan State and he or she will directly report to Medical Doctor. He or she will be responsible for implementing MHPSS activities in IDP camps and targeted villages, building MHPSS capacity of MHPSS Volunteers /Community Health Workers of both IRC and partner organizations. He or she will also need to be involved in front line emergency responses during disaster or conflicts.
