Our employment opportunity of the moment: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

You have:

• A University degree in Commerce or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Working towards a CPA accounting designation is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking)
• A minimum of (5) years of relevant experience in treasury, cash management, financial analysis, banking operations financial reporting or similar roles
• Experience applying independent judgment and accountability in critical financial processes and strong knowledge of data control principles, advanced Excel skills with a strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience analyzing large volumes of complex financial data, translating findings into practical recommendations and identifying unusual transactions, or potential fraud indicators.

You are interested in:

• Preparing accurate financial statements, notes disclosures, and internal and external reporting.
• Preparing journal vouchers and supporting documentation.
• Conducting complex analyses and reconciliations for various accounts.
• Preparing and maintaining short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, analyzing variances, assessing liquidity requirements, and supporting investment decisions.
• Working with financial institutions to resolve complex payment issues and support strong financial controls.
• Supporting the corporate credit card program and related process enhancements.
• Contributing to treasury modernization, process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.
