Job Summary

The Business Development Fellow is a paid, developmental role designed for students, recent graduates, veterans, career changers, entrepreneurs, and emerging professionals who are interested in business development, technology sales, SaaS, training, consulting, and government/commercial solutions. This role supports IBEX's growth strategy by assisting with lead generation, prospect research, outreach preparation, CRM discipline, appointment setting, and sales enablement while receiving structured coaching and exposure to IBEX's technology, training, consulting, and SaaS-based offerings. The role is intended to be mutually beneficial: the Fellow gains practical, supervised professional experience and IBEX gains organized support for pipeline development and market engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Research target accounts, industries, agencies, prime contractors, commercial prospects, and decision-makers aligned to IBEX's growth priorities.
Build, clean, and maintain prospect and contact lists using approved sources and company systems.
Support outbound lead generation campaigns through email preparation, call planning, LinkedIn/company research, and approved outreach activity.
Make supervised initial outreach to prospective clients using approved scripts, messaging, and value propositions.
Assist with qualifying leads by gathering basic information about business needs, timing, decision-makers, pain points, and potential fit.
Schedule introductory meetings, discovery calls, or follow-up conversations for IBEX leadership or sales team members.
Accurately document calls, emails, prospect details, follow-up tasks, and outcomes in the CRM or designated lead-tracking system.
Prepare concise call notes, lead summaries, account briefs, and follow-up drafts for review by the supervisor or sales lead.
Learn and communicate, at an introductory level, IBEX's services and differentiators, including IT consulting, professional services, training and certification programs, Nectar IQ, AI/data analytics, cybersecurity, ITIL, and supplier intelligence initiatives.
Participate in weekly coaching, call reviews, role-play exercises, sales skill development, and performance check-ins.
Assist with sales enablement projects such as outreach templates, prospecting lists, campaign tracking, meeting preparation, and market research summaries.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, data security, and ethical business practices in all internal and external interactions.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support IBEX's revenue growth, partnership development, and early-career talent pipeline initiatives.

Role Boundaries

This role does not independently negotiate pricing, contract terms, statements of work, teaming agreements, or client commitments.
The Fellow may participate in client or prospect conversations only within the scope approved by the supervisor.
All external messaging, representations about IBEX capabilities, and follow-up commitments must align with approved guidance.

Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and follow instructions in a remote-first, camera-on professional environment.
Demonstrated reliability, ethical judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.
Strong proficiency or ability to quickly learn Microsoft Office, SharePoint, online software applications, CRM/lead-tracking tools, and virtual meeting platforms.
Must have current U.S. work authorization.
Alignment with IBEX Core Values and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
