The Underwriting Assistant provides administrative support to the underwriting department by managing the central service inbox and processing policy issuance, endorsements, and cancellations. They are responsible for maintaining policy database integrity and delivering high-quality customer service to agents and carrier partners.
Candidates must be detail-oriented self-starters with strong organizational skills and a focus on customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and excellent communication skills are required.

HIMI is a Managing General Agency and Third-Party Administrator dedicated to supporting Hawai`i’s businesses through customized insurance packages and expert insurance consulting. Our Underwriting Assistant plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service by servicing accounts, managing HIMI’s central inbox, managing processing and data entry responsibilities and providing administrative support to the underwriting department.
