Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of customer experience, preferably in healthcare or a call center. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of typing 30 words per minute.

Health Advocates is seeking an Eligibility Worker for our hospital site in Visalia, CA.WE OFFER PAID TRAINING!
Eligibility Workers help qualify patients/claimants for governmental benefits (Medi-Cal, VOC, SSI/SSDI, TPL, etc.) within established guidelines. Responsibilities include telephone or bedside screening, completing and submitting applications to appropriate county offices, follow-up with patient/family and county workers for successful completion of cases, and updating information in hospital computer database. Additional responsibilities may include participating in weekly hospital meetings to provide case updates, travel to other hospital client sites to provide support as needed, maintain and update logs and journals, generate reports, and perform miscellaneous related duties.

Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule - Mon-Thurs 7:30 am-5:00 pm & Fri 7:30 am-12:30 pm
Other: We conduct assessment testing and post offer background checks
