To support the line manager in executing policies and strategies in areas of Risk Management and Compliance to ensure Brunei branch operates in accordance to regulatory requirements and Group’s policies.

• Assist the line Manager to define and implement sound & effective strategies in the area of Risk Management, Compliance and Regulatory Governance to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Support the line Manager to review group policies and guidelines and adopt where applicable for the Brunei Branch and ensure branch operates according to the applicable policies and guidelines. 
• Assist the line Manager to review Regulatory Consultation papers and guidelines and assess implications for Brunei Branch and liaise with SG Head office to ensure timely response to regulatory consultation papers. 
• Prepare regular and adhoc report for internal and external stakeholders. 
• Coordinate with operation team to ensure timely submission of regulatory reporting pertaining to tax evasion (CRS, FATCA) and AML/CFT (CTR, STR) 
• Act as the support to the data protection officer ("DPO") and facilitate compliance to the personal data protection order ("PDPO"). Also act as the Business contact information ("BCI") contact point for data protection matters. 
• Coordinate BCP with various departments within the Brunei Branch and SG Head Office. 
• Coordinate training programs for the branch. 
• Support the line Manager or the Head of Branch on ad hoc assignments/reviews (e.g. Marketing and social media publication) and coordination with other business as required. 
• Any other tasks that may be required from time-to-time as delegated by the manager. 

We are looking for pro-active owners and ensure end-to-end task completion. The individual is expected to be self-starter and display accoutability in their role. 

The role will required the individual to have good writing skills, be detail orientated and merticulous in their work. They are expected to keep a good record keeping habits and keeping their line manager/ Head of branch on updates and flag up for attention if they noted any issues. 

• Minimum Degree qualification. 
• Familiar with industry’s regulatory environment. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. 
• Possesses strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
• Team player and willing to learn. 
• Demonstrates alignment with the organization’s core values through expected behaviours. 
• High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork. 
• Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
