The Inventory Assistant is responsible for recording inventory levels, performing cycle counts, and organizing freezer and loading bay spaces. They also facilitate the reconciliation of returned inventory and manage shipments to other warehouses.
Candidates must possess strong basic math skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and comfort with inventory management systems. The role requires the ability to lift 40-50 pounds and a proactive approach to resolving stock errors.
God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided at no cost to our clients.
The Inventory Assistant role will entail a series of tasks that will be completed daily. This individual will need to have a sharp attention to detail to where we can fix discrepancies as soon as possible, as well as be able to lift 40-50 points, competently count basic math, work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize when it comes to completing multiple tasks at hand, and solve problems if issues arise. The Inventory Assistant must also be a team player and lean on one another if support is needed.
